Higher Education Minister and Red Sea Governor Discuss Strengthening Cooperation

Cairo: New Administrative Capital: Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansouh, held a meeting with Governor of the Red Sea Governorate, Dr. Walid Al-Barqi, at the Ministry's headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting addressed aspects of cooperation between the Ministry and the Red Sea Governorate to leverage the expertise of faculty members from Egyptian universities' medical schools. This cooperation aims to provide medical examinations, consultations, and surgical procedures for patients in the governorate's hospitals, as well as to train and enhance the professional skills of local physicians, in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Population.

The meeting also discussed mechanisms to expedite the completion of the faculties and university facilities at Hurghada University, along with accelerating the construction of the university's sports facilities. This will contribute to providing outstanding sports services and represent a significant benefit to the residents of the governorate.

Furthermore, the meeting focused on organizing comprehensive medical convoys from Egyptian universities to the Red Sea Governorate to provide integrated medical services to its residents.

For his part, the Minister of Higher Education emphasized the Ministry's strong commitment to the role of universities in serving the community. He noted that organizing these medical convoys is part of this collaborative effort to provide high-quality healthcare and support local development efforts.
