High-Level German Delegation Commends Egypt’s Humanitarian Efforts for Gaza Strip


Rafah: A high-level German delegation praised Egypt’s efforts toward the Gaza Strip, including the reception and delivery of aid to the area and the treatment of injured Palestinians in Egyptian hospitals.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the delegation made the remarks during its visit on Thursday, March 26, 2026, to the Rafah crossing from the Egyptian side. The purpose of the visit was to review procedures for receiving injured Palestinians and delivering aid to Gaza, in the presence of North Sinai Governor Khaled Megawer and Khaled Zayed, Head of the Egyptian Red Crescent branch in the governorate.



The governor reviewed efforts made to organize the movement of Palestinians to and from Gaza, noting that these efforts are part of implementing the second phase of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Agreement. This phase aims to support stability and enhance Egypt’s humanitarian role toward the Palestinian people.



He also outlined the mechanism for bringing humanitarian and relief aid trucks into Gaza via the Karm Abu Salem crossing, which includes passing through the side gate of the Rafah crossing.
