Health Ministry Discusses Digital Transformation with Epson at GITEX Global 2025

Dubai: Deputy Minister of Health and Population for Governance, Oversight, Monitoring and Institutional Development, Mohamed el Tayyeb, met with Neil Colquhoun, President of Epson for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, along with his delegation on the sidelines of GITEX Global 2025, held in Dubai from October 13-17. The meeting aimed to explore potential partnerships to enhance the healthcare system's digital transformation through the integration of advanced printers and scanners.According to State Information Service Egypt, the Health Ministry's spokesman, Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, reported that Tayyeb was given a live demonstration of Epson's latest technologies. These included printers, scanners, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and projection and printing devices. The discussions highlighted Epson's capacity to provide technologically advanced, economically efficient, and environmentally sustainable devices with high energy efficiency.The dialogue between the ministry and Epson focused on organizing joint workshops and pilot programs for the new operational systems. Additionally, there was an emphasis on providing dedicated account management and technical support for the ministry's initiatives. A key component of the partnership would involve integrating POS systems within Ministry departments, aiming to deliver high-quality services while optimizing electricity consumption.Epson Middle East (EME), a regional branch of Japan's Seiko Epson Corporation, is known for its specialization in the sales, technical support, and maintenance of printers, scanners, and projection and printing devices across the Middle East and surrounding regions.
