FM: Egypt Aims to Boost Investment Climate & Attract Indian Industry

Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty said that Egypt is working to create a more attractive and competitive environment for both local and international investment. These remarks came during a meeting in Cairo with Yogita Sharma, Regional President of TATA Sons, the Indian multinational active in automotive assembly and manufacturing.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty stated that Egypt is open to greater Indian investment across key industrial sectors and highlighted the country's current legal, financial, and logistical advantages available to investors. He noted the government's continued support for private sector participation in national development.

Meanwhile, Sharma affirmed that TATA is exploring new investment opportunities in Egypt and sees strong potential in the local market. She added that Egypt's reforms and geographic position make it a strategic base for reaching African and Arab markets. The Indian official noted that the company remains committed to expanding cooperation with the Egyptian government.
