According to State Information Service Egypt, the state has launched a number of initiatives and projects aimed at supporting families, including the National Project for the Development of the Egyptian Family and the Family Support Solidarity Fund. These efforts contribute to improving living stability and enhancing the social, psychological, and financial preparedness of those planning to marry.
Speaking at the conference, held under the theme 'family challenges amid major transformations: A fatwa-based approach to protecting the family and anticipating its future,' on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, Ayyad said these efforts represent harmony between the objectives of Islamic law and the state's sound policies, which have recognized the scale of the challenges facing the family institution today.
He added that the true celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad does not lie merely in outward manifestations, but in translating his guidance into practical conduct within the home. He cited the Prophet's treatment of his family, noting that he was the best of people to his family and built his household on affection, mercy, and good companionship, setting outstanding examples of compassionate fatherhood and child-rearing based on gentleness and firmness without harshness.
Ayyad said the conference's theme revolves around four main pillars: major transformations, protecting the family, anticipating its future, and preserving identity, adding that bringing these dimensions together around a single issue places an even greater responsibility on everyone at a historic stage in which competing social projects and multiple sources of influence are shaping people's awareness.
