Cairo: The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) received Massad Boulos, Senior Adviser to US President Donald Trump on Arab, Middle Eastern, and African Affairs, marking his inaugural official visit to Egypt. According to State Information Service Egypt, Ahmed Ghoneim, CEO of the GEM Authority, welcomed Boulos and his delegation. The group was taken on an extensive tour of the museum, which included visits to the Grand Hall, the main atrium, the great staircase, and the main exhibition galleries. These areas collectively narrate the extensive history of ancient Egypt, covering eras from pre-dynastic times through the Greek and Roman periods. At the end of the tour, Boulos expressed his admiration for the museum and its modern display techniques. He emphasized that the GEM stands as a cultural monument of global standing, highlighting Egypt's ancient civilization and aligning with top international museum standards, as noted by a statement from the Tourism and Antiquities Ministry.
