Government Cabinet Meeting Focuses on Key National Issues

Cairo:Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly led the Cabinet's weekly meeting to address significant political, economic, and social priorities at the government headquarters.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting, held on October 7, 2026, included discussions on the implementation of presidential directives and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's recent activities. Notably, these activities encompassed the inauguration of the first Alamein-Africa Business Forum and preparations for the upcoming Egypt Forum 2026.

The Cabinet deliberated on strategies to tackle inflation and enhance spending in crucial sectors such as healthcare, education, and social protection. Additionally, there was an emphasis on reinforcing market oversight and ensuring sufficient food supplies, alongside advancing national projects.

Further topics on the agenda included expanding social protection systems for vulnerable groups, boosting investments, comprehensive development, exports, and the localization of industries, all aligned with the objectives of Egypt Vision 2030.

The Cabinet also assessed progress in areas such as investment, industry, exports, agricultural land expansion, and the allocation of industrial land to investors. Policies related to social security, tax, and support measures for low-income households were also reviewed to ensure the fulfillment of citizens' needs.
