Cairo: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, Egyptian Expatriates expressed its deep appreciation for the national support demonstrated by Egyptian expat communities worldwide, especially in the US and Canada, during the national football team's participation in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the ministry hailed the outstanding attendance and civilized cheering of Egyptian fans as indicative of a deep sense of belonging and presenting a bright image of Egyptians abroad. This national unity around the team demonstrates the strong bonds between Egyptians at home and abroad, proving they remain the best ambassadors for their country, the ministry said.

The ministry also applauded the heroic performance and high technical level displayed by Egypt's national team, commending also the determination, discipline, and fighting spirit of the players and technical staff throughout the tournament, which culminated in an unprecedented achievement after the Pharaohs qualified for the Round of 16.

This achievement reflects the development of Egyptian sports, as well as the ability of national talents to compete honorably in major international events, the ministry concluded.
