Cairo: Egypt's National Committee on Libya is closely following the rapid developments and rising tensions in neighboring Libya in recent days, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Expatriates said in a statement on Wednesday.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the committee is in continuous session to monitor the situation in Libya. The ministry has also announced the formation of an operations room dedicated to tracking developments on the ground and coordinating around the clock with the Egyptian Embassy in Tripoli.

The operations room is operational 24/7 and is available to respond to inquiries and requests from Egyptian nationals in Libya through the contact numbers (+201115566606) and (+218914897985).

The committee is working in coordination with all relevant state agencies to address the evolving circumstances. The statement urged Egyptian citizens living or present in Libya to exercise maximum caution, remain indoors, and avoid areas where tensions are high until the situation stabilizes.
