Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty, and Senior Advisor to the US President for Arab and African Affairs, Mr. Massad Boulos, addressed developments in Libya during a phone call. The Foreign Minister reaffirmed Egypt's unwavering support for the unity and stability of Libya and emphasized the importance of unifying national institutions and reaching a comprehensive political settlement through a Libyan-led process, paving the way for simultaneous presidential and parliamentary elections as soon as possible.According to State Information Service Egypt, Foreign Minister Abdelatty listened to the ideas and proposals put forward by Mr. Massad Boulos regarding ways to resolve the situation in Libya through a Libyan-led solution. This comes within the framework of current US efforts, led by Mr. Massad Boulos, aimed at bridging the gaps between the Libyan parties.Minister Abdelatty commended all relevant international, regional, and UN efforts, in cluding those of the United States, that contribute to achieving long-term unity and stability in Libya and building a better future for all Libyans.
