According to State Information Service Egypt, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further enhancing Egyptian-UK relations across the political, economic, and investment sectors. They also praised the significant progress achieved in bilateral ties in recent months.

Abdelatty stressed the importance of expanding economic and trade cooperation and increasing British investments in Egypt in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both countries and supports Egypt's economic development efforts. During the call, he urged UK companies to expand their investments in Egypt and explore new avenues for cooperation across various sectors.

The Minister also highlighted the importance of increasing Egyptian exports to the UK market under the Egypt-UK Association Agreement, which would contribute to expanding bilateral trade and maximizing the benefits offered by the agreement.

Regarding regional developments, Abdelatty emphasized the importance of continuing U.S.-Iran negotiations in a serious and constructive manner to reach a final agreement that takes into account the interests and concerns of all parties and contributes to enhancing regional and international peace and stability. He stressed that diplomatic solutions remain the best means of resolving outstanding issues.

The two sides also discussed the latest developments in Lebanon. Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's unwavering support for the Lebanese state, stressing the importance of respecting Lebanon's sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity. He also underscored the need to build on the U.S.-brokered framework agreement in a way that leads to the complete Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory and enables the Lebanese state to exercise its authority over its entire territory.

The minister further stressed the importance of refocusing international efforts on the Palestinian issue in order to create the conditions necessary for the full implementation of the commitments under the first phase of the U.S. president's peace plan and to move forward to the second phase.
