FM: Two-state Solution Conference Should Galvanize Recognition of Palestinian State

New york: Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty stressed the importance of building on the momentum generated by the high-level international conference on the peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution, to accelerate efforts toward international recognition of the State of Palestine.According to State Information Service Egypt, he emphasized that such recognition is crucial to upholding the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, particularly their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state based on the June 4, 1967 borders, with Al Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) as its capital.The minister conveyed these remarks during a series of high-level bilateral meetings conducted on the sidelines of the conference at the UN headquarters in New York. Abdelatty engaged in discussions with Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs José Manuel Albares, Yemeni Minister of Foreign Af fairs and Expatriates Shaya Mohsin Zindani, Italian Deputy Foreign Minister Maria Tripodi, and Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Abul Gheit.
