FM, Saudi Counterpart Exchange Views on Latest Developments on Phone Call

Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Expatriates Dr. Badr Abdelatty, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, held a telephone call as part of the ongoing consultations and coordination between the two brotherly countries.

According to State Information Service Egypt, during the call, the two top diplomats addressed the bilateral relations, emphasizing the fraternal ties that bind Egypt and Saudi Arabia in various fields, and their mutual commitment to further developing cooperation and building upon the positive momentum in relations.

In this context, the two ministers discussed the preparations underway for the first meeting of the Supreme Coordination Council between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

The two ministers exchanged views on regional developments, highlighting the priority of reducing escalation and containing tensions in the region, and prioritizing dialogue and diplomatic channels in light of the current regional circumstances.

The call also included an exchange of views on the latest developments in Sudan, the Gaza Strip, Libya, and the Horn of Africa, as well as the efforts being made to maintain the security and stability of the region.
