Ljubljana: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Egyptian Expatriate Affairs Badr Abdelatty met with His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, on the sidelines of the expanded dialogue session held in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting underscored the enduring fraternal relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Both ministers expressed their commitment to continue joint efforts to enhance bilateral relations across various fields, aiming to meet the aspirations of the citizens in both nations.
In discussions concerning the situation in Gaza, the ministers emphasized the importance of implementing the requirements of the second phase of the US President's plan. This step is seen as essential for initiating the reconstruction phase and reviving the comprehensive political settlement process. Additionally, the ministers explored ways to de-escalate regional tensions and highlighted the necessity for collaborative regional and international efforts to manage and reduce the current escalation.
