Cairo: Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty stated that enhancing services for Egyptians residing abroad remains a primary concern for the ministry. Abdelatty made these remarks during a meeting with ministry officials and teams responsible for the technical and operational aspects of the interactive digital platform for consular services for Egyptians living overseas.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the platform was initially announced at the Conference of Egyptians Abroad, held on August 2-3, as part of efforts to digitize consular services and improve their accessibility for Egyptian citizens abroad. During the meeting, Abdelatty examined a presentation outlining the platform's main components, its design and operation, as well as the services and features intended to facilitate easier access to consular services for Egyptians abroad.

Abdelatty also assessed the progress on completing the platform's technical and technological components. He emphasized that the platform should signify a significant transformation in consular services, allowing Egyptians abroad to complete and track their transactions more efficiently and conveniently, thereby reducing the necessity to visit diplomatic and consular missions in person.

The minister advocated for the continued use of digital and technological solutions to modernize consular services and enhance service quality. He also instructed ongoing coordination with relevant national authorities to ensure the platform's various implementation stages are completed according to the established timeline.
