Pretoria: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty reiterated on Sunday, November 23, 2025, his country's full support of India's presidency of the BRICS in 2026, hoping for further economic and financial cooperation among member states. The top diplomat made the remarks during his meeting with India's External Affairs Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar on the sidelines of G-20 meetings in South Africa.According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting tackled ways of boosting cooperation between the two countries in the trade, economic, and investment domains. Abdelatty called on Indian companies to increase their investments in Egypt and capitalize on available investment privileges, especially within the Suez Canal economic zone.
