Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty met on Thursday with German Professor Volker Kauder of the University of Giessen. Kauder is a former majority leader of the Bundestag.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the foreign minister praised the relationship between Egypt and Germany at all levels, highlighting the development it has witnessed in recent years, along with the momentum across political, economic, investment, and development fields. Abdelatty commended Germany's role in supporting development projects in Egypt. He affirmed the depth of relations between the two countries and expressed hope for continuing to enhance all aspects of bilateral cooperation.

The meeting included a discussion on developments regarding the Palestinian issue, as the minister reviewed Egypt's efforts to consolidate the ceasefire in Gaza, ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid, and achieve a permanent political settlement to the Palestinian problem. Meanwhile, Abdelatty stressed the need to rally international efforts to ensure the swift formation of an international stabilization force in the Gaza Strip that could uphold the ceasefire agreement.
