FM Lauds Interest of Higher Education Ministry in Opening Branches of Universities Abroad

Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty commended the ongoing cooperation between the Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty praised the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research for its interest in establishing branches of Egyptian universities abroad, including Cairo and Alexandria universities. He emphasized that this initiative would not only elevate Egypt's international standing but also foster collaboration between Egyptian universities and other educational institutions globally.

Abdelatty's remarks were made during a meeting with Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ayman Ashour. The meeting focused on reviewing the coordination between the two ministries concerning agreements, programs, and MoUs signed between Egypt and other countries in the field of higher education.

Discussions also explored ways to provide comprehensive support for Egyptian students studying abroad through Egyptian embassies and consulates. The meeting highlighted the importance of leveraging expertise in various domains to contribute to national development efforts.

Additionally, the talks underscored the crucial role of Egyptian cultural offices overseas in enhancing cooperation with different countries through student exchange programs. These efforts aim to strengthen the connection between Egyptian expatriates and their homeland.
