FM Heads to Islamabad for Quad Talks on De-escalating Regional Tensions


Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty departed Cairo on Saturday, 28/3/2026, for Islamabad to take part in a quadrilateral ministerial meeting to discuss escalating military tensions in the region.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting will bring together the foreign ministers of Egypt, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey. The discussions are expected to focus on recent developments related to regional military escalation and ongoing diplomatic efforts to contain tensions and promote de-escalation.



The talks come amid heightened concerns about regional stability, with participating countries seeking to coordinate their stances and support political solutions to emerging crises.
