FM Heads to Beirut to Deliver Aid and Reaffirm Support for Lebanon


Beirut: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, Badr Abdelatty, traveled to Beirut on Thursday, 26/3/2026, to deliver a shipment of humanitarian aid from the Egyptian people to Lebanon. The visit comes as part of Cairo’s efforts to support Lebanon amid a worsening humanitarian situation and internal displacement challenges.



According to State Information Service Egypt, the trip follows directives from President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to respond urgently to Lebanon’s needs and help ease the impact of the ongoing crisis. It underscores Egypt’s longstanding position of support for the Lebanese state and its institutions, to preserve the country’s sovereignty, unity, security and stability.



During the visit, Abdelatty is expected to hold meetings with Lebanese officials to convey Egypt’s solidarity and discuss ways to strengthen diplomatic efforts to contain the regional crisis and promote stability.
