According to State Information Service Egypt, this discussion occurred as part of ongoing communications to exchange views on regional developments, with a particular focus on the Palestinian issue. Abdelatty outlined Egypt's preparations for hosting the International Conference for Early Recovery and Reconstruction of Gaza in November and expressed hope for active participation from the United Kingdom and the international community to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people.

The conversation also covered bilateral relations between Egypt and Britain. Both parties expressed a mutual desire to enhance cooperation in fields such as economic, trade, and investment, emphasizing the importance of advancing their relations to benefit both nations.
