Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty engaged in separate phone discussions with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to deliberate on efforts to de-escalate regional tensions and ensure freedom of navigation. This initiative is part of ongoing discussions concerning regional developments aimed at restoring security and stability.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the conversations focused on strategies to de-escalate the situation. Abdelatty emphasized the urgency of halting all military actions and escalating tensions, highlighting the necessity of prioritizing political and diplomatic solutions. This approach aims to contain rising tensions, prevent further conflict expansion, and enhance regional security and stability, ultimately sparing the people of the region from further escalation and its repercussions.

Abdelatty also highlighted the critical importance of maintaining freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea.
