FM Engages in Strategic Dialogues with Counterparts from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, and Jordan

Cairo: Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigration, conducted a series of phone conversations on the evening of Monday, June 23, 2025, with key foreign ministers from the Middle East. This included His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani of Qatar, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani of Bahrain, Mr. Abdullah Al-Yahya of Kuwait, Dr. Fouad Hussein of Iraq, and Mr. Ayman Safadi of Jordan.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the discussions focused on the urgent developments in the region, particularly concerning the breach of Qatar's sovereignty. Minister Abdelatty expressed Egypt's unwavering support for Qatar in response to the recent Iranian offenses against its territory. He reiterated Egypt's strong condemnation of any actions that compromise the sovereignty and security of Qatar and emphasized Egypt's stance against violations threatening the stability of Arab nations.

The dialogues explored the consequences of the attacks on Qatar, highlighting the risks they pose to regional security and the increasing military tensions. The ministers collectively acknowledged the necessity for de-escalation and restraint, emphasizing the importance of unified regional and international efforts to manage the tensions and bring stability back to the region.
