Doha: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty has highlighted the priority Egypt places on enhancing the role of the private sector and empowering it to drive national development.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister's remarks came during his meeting with President of the World Economic Forum B¸rge Brende, on the sidelines of the Doha Forum. Abdelatty underlined the need for expanding cooperation with the forum through innovative initiatives that support development efforts.
He reviewed Egypt's progress on economic reform and development, emphasizing the ambitious measures taken by the Egyptian government to improve the investment climate, remove obstacles facing investors, and offer additional incentives. The meeting included discussions on regional developments, as Abdelatty outlined Egypt's stances on regional crises and reaffirmed Egypt's ongoing efforts to promote peace, security, and stability in the region.
