Abu dhabi: Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty affirmed Egypt's full support for strengthening the Palestinian Authority (PA) and enabling it to fulfill its responsibilities in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the minister met with former Palestinian Foreign Minister Nasser al-Kidwa on the sidelines of the Sir Bani Yas Forum in the UAE. Abdelatty stated that such support helps restore stability, prevent attempts to impose new realities on the ground, and prepare the environment for reconstruction and a comprehensive, just resolution of the Palestinian cause.
The meeting covered the current developments in the Palestinian scene and the vital importance of the PA's pivotal role during the upcoming phase. This includes solidifying the ceasefire, ensuring access to humanitarian aid, creating conditions for launching a serious political path that leads to the implementation of the two-state solution, preserving the unity of Palestinian territories, and defending the rights of the Palestinian people.
