Finance Minister Introduces 17 New Customs Guides to Streamline Trade and Investment

Cairo: Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk announced the release of 17 updated customs guidance manuals designed to simplify customs procedures by providing clearer explanations and guidance.

According to State Information Service Egypt, these manuals will be accessible in both printed and electronic formats, enabling users to access them at any time to ensure data accuracy and enhance the investment environment. Minister Kouchouk emphasized that the initiative aims to simplify customs concepts, ensure consistency in customs transactions, and facilitate investor processes as part of a broader institutional reform strategy.

Customs Authority Chief Ahmed Amouy highlighted that the guidance manuals standardize procedures related to pre-clearance, manifests, free zones, authorized economic operators, customs warehouses, and temporary admission. The manuals were developed through collaborative efforts by customs officials to review, classify, and consolidate customs rules, turning them into practical references that support trade flows and foster cooperation with investors and the business community.
