Cairo: Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk has announced an ongoing initiative to simplify the electronic procedures related to the Real Estate Tax application, with the aim of addressing any challenges currently faced by taxpayers. These efforts are part of a broader plan to enhance user experience and efficiency in tax-related processes.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the initiative includes improving the mechanisms for reading and extracting data, streamlining registration and application submission procedures, and expanding the range of electronic services available. An additional focus is on enabling Egyptians residing abroad to register for these services seamlessly.
Kouchouk emphasized the ministry's commitment to simplifying financial procedures, allowing taxpayers to settle outstanding dues electronically without the need for completing prior procedures. This marks a significant shift towards digitalization and ease of access for taxpayers.
Assistant Finance Minister for Tax Policies and Head of the Tax Policy Unit, Rami Youssef, highlighted ongoing efforts to facilitate procedures for real estate companies. The measures include expediting the processing of tax returns by enabling companies to upload data for multiple units simultaneously, thereby streamlining the submission process.
To further assist taxpayers, instructional guides and videos are being made available to provide guidance on how to correctly complete the necessary procedures. These resources are part of the ministry's strategy to ensure taxpayers have the information they need to successfully navigate the updated system.
