New Capital:The fifth edition of the Egypt Mining Forum has commenced in the New Capital, under the patronage and in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. The event, themed 'Unlocking the Exploration Potential of Egypt and the Arabian-Nubian Shield,' began on Monday, September 28, 2026.
According to State Information Service Egypt, the forum is attended by major international mining companies alongside ministers and officials responsible for mining from Arab and African countries. This gathering serves as a platform to showcase Egypt's abundant mineral resources.
The event, taking place on September 28 and 29, highlights recent reforms designed to create an attractive investment climate for exploration and prospecting while encouraging downstream industries to maximize added value.
Additionally, the forum will reveal the results of investment opportunities announced by the Egyptian Mineral Resources and Mining Industries Authority last June. These opportunities focus on exploring gold, phosphate, talc, and kaolin, aiming to facilitate the allocation of mining areas and accelerate the start of operations.
