Changsha: A delegation from Egypt's Electronics Research Institute (ERI), led by Acting President Sherine Abdel Qader Muharram, participated in an international training course on "Planning and Building Industrial Zones in Egypt," hosted recently in China. Supported by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and sponsored by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), the 14-day training program was conducted by the Hunan Foreign Trade Vocational College in Changsha.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the program aimed to transfer Chinese expertise in industrial zone management, integrating clusters with innovation, investment, and sustainable development. Muharram delivered a lecture titled "Electronics Research and Industry City: The Journey of Transformation into a Smart Green Scientific City," where she highlighted the institute's efforts in fostering entrepreneurship and promoting local manufacturing.

The training included lectures, interactive sessions, and field trips to significant economic zones and industrial complexes. Notable visits included the Changsha Economic and Technological Development Zone, an industrial park in Shenzhen, and the Huaqiangbei Electronics Market. Participants engaged in discussions on digital management models, smart infrastructure, green industrial practices, and supply chain strategies.

The training concluded with a panel discussion to evaluate the outcomes and explore ways to leverage China's industrial development model to support economic objectives under Egypt's Vision 2030.
