ERC’s ‘Zad Al-Ezza’ Convoy Delivers Over 3,000 Tons of Aid to Gaza

Gaza:The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) announced that its 289th 'Zad Al-Ezza. From Egypt to Gaza' convoy successfully entered the Gaza Strip through the Rafah Border Crossing. The convoy, which arrived on Sunday, October 4, 2026, brought more than 3,185 tons of humanitarian aid.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the aid package included essential items such as food parcels, flour, relief supplies, medical equipment, and fuel crucial for operating hospitals and other vital facilities in Gaza.

The ERC emphasized its continuous presence along the border since the crisis began, ensuring logistics centers remain ready and efforts to prepare and deliver aid are intensified. The organization has delivered over 1 million tons of aid with the help of more than 75,000 volunteers.

The report also highlighted a detailed timeline of the Gaza conflict, mentioning the restrictions on aid deliveries, the resumption of aid in 2025, and the temporary humanitarian pauses. It noted the negotiations involving Egypt, Qatar, and the US, which led to a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel on October 9, 2025, under a plan proposed by US President Donald Trump and mediated by Egypt, the United States, Qatar, and Turkey. The second phase of the agreement began on February 2, 2026, following the completion of prisoner/hostage exchanges.
