Cairo: The weather forecast map issued by the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) indicates that Khamaseen low pressure winds will be present over the Western Desert as of Wednesday. The EMA indicated that this low pressure will cause active winds that will raise sand and dust across most areas, reducing horizontal visibility.According to State Information Service Egypt, Monday, April 28th, 2025, will witness warm weather during the day in Greater Cairo, the Delta, and northern Upper Egypt, moderate weather on the northern coast, and hot weather in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt. It will be moderate in the early evening and cool in the late evening and early morning in most areas.The day will also witness active winds in some areas, and morning fog on agricultural and highway roads and roads near water surfaces leading to and from Greater Cairo, the Delta, the northern coast, the Canal cities, and northern Upper Egypt.The Meteorological Authority announced today's expected maximum and minimum temperatures as follows:In Cairo, temperatures will reach highs of 28°C and drop to lows of 18°C. Alexandria will see highs of 25°C with lows of 16°C, while Matrouh will experience highs of 22°C and lows of 14°C. In Sohag, temperatures are expected to peak at 33°C and fall to 19°C. Both Qena and Aswan will witness highs of 35°C, with lows of 20°C in Qena and 21°C in Aswan.
