Cairo: In the context of enhancing international cooperation in the fields of space science and technology, the Egyptian Space Agency hosted the Chinese Forum on Monday 5/5/2025 with the presence of a distinguished group of senior engineers and researchers from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the University of Science and Technology in China, as well as Egyptian engineers and experts from the space science technology sector at the Egyptian Space Agency.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the forum began with an opening speech by Professor Sherif Sedky, the CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency, who welcomed the esteemed guests, including Professor Lu Gaobing, Professor Song Kaishan, and a distinguished group of representatives from the Changchun Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics. Dr. Sedky emphasised the importance of this cooperation in establishing scientific communication bridges between Egypt and China.

The forum will include a number of leading research topics through several lectures, including Earth observation activities in Egypt, techniques for measuring terrestrial radiation, developments in the space radar system at the Egyptian Space Agency, alongside advanced Chinese studies in the fields of remote sensing and meteorological phenomena.

The event concluded with the exchange of plaques and commemorative gifts between the two sides, symbolically affirming the strength of scientific relations and the continuation of partnership in serving the space sector.
