Cairo: CEO of the Egyptian Space Agency Maged Ismail discussed with a delegation from the China Meteorological Administration (CMA) on Monday, September 21, 2026, ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of space station construction and satellite development, in addition to completing the establishment of the National Space Data Center.

According to State Information Service Egypt, this meeting occurred during the CEO's reception of the Chinese delegation at the agency's headquarters. Discussions focused on the exchange of technical and scientific expertise in space technology, leveraging Chinese experience in designing and developing space infrastructure and satellites.

The two sides explored future cooperation opportunities, particularly regarding the completion of the National Space Data Center. This initiative aims to support effective management and governance of space data and enhance its utilization across various fields.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties exchanged commemorative gifts, highlighting the strong relations and joint cooperation between Egypt and China in the fields of space and satellite technology.
