Cairo: The Central Bank of Egypt reported a significant increase in remittances from Egyptians working abroad during the first nine months of 2025, with figures climbing 45.1% year-on-year to a record USD 30.2 billion. This compares with approximately USD 20.8 billion during the same timeframe in the previous year.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the bank also noted that monthly inflows showed improvement. Specifically, remittances in September 2025 rose by 30.9% to approximately USD 3.6 billion, an increase from about USD 2.7 billion in September 2024.
