Egyptian Red Crescent Aids Injured and Sick Palestinians at Rafah Crossing

Rafah: Teams from the Egyptian Red Crescent have received the 79th group of injured and sick Palestinians arriving in Egypt through the Rafah crossing to receive medical treatment. The humanitarian effort has been vital in ensuring that those affected receive the necessary care and support during these challenging times.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Egyptian Red Crescent teams have also been instrumental in assisting recovered patients as they leave after completing their treatment. This is done in coordination with the ministries of health and population and social solidarity, ensuring a seamless and supportive process for those in need.

The response from the Egyptian Red Crescent includes not only medical assistance but also psychological support, particularly for children. This effort is complemented by family-reunification services and the distribution of essential items such as meals, drinks, clothing, and personal-care supplies. These provisions are crucial in meeting the needs of injured and sick Palestinians during the crossing process.

The Egyptian Red Crescent remains committed to its humanitarian work at the Rafah crossing, operating around the clock to provide relief assistance to Palestinians. Their ongoing efforts are a testament to the support for easing the suffering of those facing difficult humanitarian conditions.
