Cairo: The Egyptian Navy organized a religious seminar for several naval officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers in the presence of Minister of Awqaf Osama Al-Azhari, in conjunction with celebrating the holy month of Ramadan: The event comes within the framework of the Egyptian Armed Forces' keenness to promote religious awareness and reinforce moral values among its personnel.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Al-Azhari extended greetings on the occasion of Ramadan, stressing the importance of a proper understanding of divine religions to confront religious intolerance and extremist ideas. He also praised the national role played by members of the armed forces in protecting the homeland and safeguarding its capabilities, noting that the cohesion of state institutions and the awareness of citizens represent the frontline of defense against challenges and destructive ideologies.

For his part, Commander of the Navy Mahmoud Adel Fawzy lauded the Ministry of Awqaf's efforts in promoting moderate religious thought and correcting misconceptions, highlighting the importance of such awareness meetings in strengthening religious and national values among armed forces personnel.

At the end of the seminar, the Awqaf minister held an open discussion with attendees to answer questions on various religious issues and promote a sound understanding of Islamic teachings.
