Tunis:Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem emphasized the critical role of qualified human resources in fostering a modern and competitive Egyptian industrial sector. He stated that skilled workers are essential for managing production processes and advancing modern technologies effectively.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Hashem highlighted that the Ministry of Industry prioritizes human resource development as part of its strategic goals. This focus aims to meet factories' demands, enhance productivity, and boost the national industry's competitiveness.
Speaking at a ceremony for the first graduating class of Abu Zaabal Applied Technology School, Hashem and Minister of Labor Hassan Raddad awarded graduation certificates and employment contracts to 25 students. The event, held at the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, underscored the importance of technical education and vocational training in industrial growth.
Hashem pointed out that achieving success in industrial development plans requires a skilled workforce to improve production processes and efficiency. The Ministry is enhancing vocational training through programs that integrate basic skills, technical qualification, and practical factory training. This initiative aligns with state efforts to upgrade technical education and meet labor market demands.
He described applied technology schools as a crucial model for blending education with industrial needs, offering programs like the one at Abu Zaabal School in phosphate fertilizer production. Such programs provide specialized knowledge and practical skills required in strategic industrial sectors.
Emphasizing the connection between technical education and industrial requirements, Hashem advocated for introducing new specializations to address labor market needs. He noted that investors seek competent, efficient, and productive workers, and that preparing skilled personnel will support Egyptian industry's integration into global supply chains.
