Kuwait city: Egyptian Consul of Egypt in Kuwait Sherif Badir affirmed on Thursday, January 22, 2026, the special priority that the political leadership places on caring for Egyptians abroad, strengthening their ties with their homeland, and opening channels of communication with them.
According to State Information Service Egypt, this statement was made during a meeting between the Egyptian Consul and representatives of Kuwaiti companies from among members of the Egyptian community, with Counselor Ashraf Alam El-Din, Director of the Labor Representation Office at the Consulate, also in attendance. The Egyptian Consul emphasized the importance of ongoing communication and periodic meetings to monitor and support the Egyptian community's conditions and affairs.
The Egyptian Consul reviewed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' initiatives to promote digital transformation and update consular mechanisms. He highlighted the Egyptian Consulate in Kuwait's efforts to simplify procedures and improve services for Egyptians residing in Kuwait.
The meeting featured an interactive discussion where attendees shared their views and suggestions for improving consular services to better meet their needs. Counselor Ashraf Alam El-Din expressed a commitment to collaborating with various institutions to raise awareness among Egyptian workers about their rights and responsibilities. He also discussed initiatives to provide trained Egyptian labor in coordination with Kuwaiti authorities and the Egyptian Ministry of Manpower, ensuring proper training for those coming to work in Kuwait.
