Cairo: EgyptAir has signed a global partnership and cooperation agreement with FC Barcelona, one of the world's most popular and historic football clubs, under which the Egyptian national carrier will become a Global Partner of the Spanish club through the end of the 2028/29 season.According to State Information Service Egypt, the partnership reflects EgyptAir's vision to strengthen its international standing and consolidate its position as one of the region's leading airlines. It aligns with the national carrier's strategic plan over the past two years to expand its global network, develop its fleet, enhance customer services, and improve flight punctuality.These efforts have positively impacted EgyptAir's performance in the global Skytrax ratings. The carrier's international partnerships aim to showcase its significant development in recent years and further strengthen its competitiveness. Under the agreement, EgyptAir will become the Exclusive Official Airline Partner of FC Barcelona's men's first foot ball team, basketball team, and handball team.The EgyptAir logo will appear on the front of the handball team's jerseys during official matches, along with a range of marketing and promotional benefits. Announcing the global partnership, Capt Ahmed Adel, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EgyptAir Holding Company, stated that sponsoring one of the world's most prestigious clubs represents an unprecedented achievement in EgyptAir's history and caps efforts made over the past two years.Adel noted that the partnership brings together EgyptAir's 95-year history with FC Barcelona's global sporting leadership, opening new avenues for the airline to connect with football fans worldwide.
