Cairo: Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Hussein Eissa expressed his deep pride in meeting the top-performing students, congratulating them on advancing to university education and wishing them continued success in their future academic and professional careers. Eissa made the remarks during a meeting with the top students in the 2026 General Secondary Certificate examinations from across the country and various academic streams at the headquarters of Al-Gomhuria newspaper.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Eissa emphasized the importance of equipping students with skills relevant to the modern labor market. He urged the students to master foreign languages, develop communication and interpersonal skills, and gain a comprehensive understanding of information systems and modern technology. These tools, he noted, are crucial for navigating today's job market.

Eissa highlighted that academic excellence is just the beginning of a lifelong journey of learning and skill development. He encouraged students to engage in continuous self-learning and skill enhancement during their university years and throughout their careers. The Deputy Prime Minister stressed the importance of practical training and acquiring applied skills, especially in computer science and artificial intelligence, as essential for future success.

He also discussed the significance of choosing a field of study aligned with personal interests and inclinations, viewing this as a foundation for creativity and sustained achievement. Eissa shared examples of Egyptians excelling abroad, demonstrating the global competitiveness of Egyptian youth when equipped with the right skills.

The meeting included a dynamic dialogue between Eissa and the students, where they shared their aspirations and discussed the future of education and the labor market. Eissa emphasized that true excellence involves lifelong learning and applying knowledge for national service.

Concluding the meeting, Eissa wished the students continued success in their studies and careers. He praised the national press and Al-Gomhuria newspaper for their role in raising public awareness and supporting development.
