EgyptAir Chief Engages in Strategic Talks at IATA Meeting

Rio de janeiro: Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Holding Company Captain Ahmed Adel conducted a series of bilateral meetings with representatives from various airlines on Thursday, June 11, 2026, during the 82nd IATA Annual General Meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. These discussions aimed to foster current and future cooperation and explore new partnership opportunities as EgyptAir seeks to expand its international presence and access new markets and destinations.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Captain Adel engaged with executives from Etihad Airways, Riyadh Air, JetBlue, and United Airlines. The meetings explored the challenges facing the aviation industry, potential growth opportunities, and the importance of strengthening cooperation among airlines to ensure sustainable growth within the industry. Adel emphasized that strategic partnerships are crucial for growth in air transport and play a fundamental role in creating new markets for EgyptAir's services.

Additionally, Captain Adel participated in the Star Alliance Chief Executive Board meeting. The meeting involved member airlines reviewing joint strategic projects and discussing methods to enhance cooperation to improve customer experience and service efficiency across the alliance's extensive global network.
