EgyptAir Cargo Secures Strategic Agreements at El Alamein Airshow

El alamein: EgyptAir Cargo concluded its participation in the El Alamein International Airshow 2026, achieving new commercial results and operational agreements that will support the company's plans to expand into global markets, strengthen its business network, and increase cargo volumes across its route network.

According to State Information Service Egypt, during the exhibition, the company held a series of intensive commercial and coordination meetings with major air cargo companies and accredited sales agents from various international markets. The meetings resulted in the signing and renewal of several sales and air cargo agency agreements in strategic markets, including Turkey, Germany, and the Benelux region (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg), as well as Jordan and Hong Kong. These agreements will strengthen EgyptAir Cargo's presence in these markets, enhance its competitiveness, and support its expansion plans in the coming period.

The EgyptAir Cargo delegation also held meetings with leading international cargo operators to explore opportunities for joint cooperation and increase business volumes. The discussions covered the company's operational and commercial plans for the upcoming winter season, as well as mechanisms to support cargo flows between different markets and connect them to EgyptAir Cargo's network.

The meetings resulted in a number of operational agreements and coordination measures aimed at supporting and expanding cargo flights during the winter schedule, particularly to New York, So Paulo, Kuwait, Asmara, Juba, and Johannesburg. The measures are expected to help meet the needs of various markets and enhance air cargo connectivity between continents through EgyptAir's network.

As part of its future expansion plans, the company also discussed several new opportunities, including a study of operating long-haul charter flights from Hong Kong to Mumbai. The proposed service would complement the existing cargo network and help capitalize on growing trade flows between markets in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

The company also explored opportunities to launch new services to Sydney, Australia, and Algeria, as part of its plans to expand into new markets and destinations.

As part of EgyptAir Cargo's strategy to support Egyptian exports, the company announced during meetings with its agents and commercial partners that it will begin operating services to Cardiff station in the UK, with the start of the upcoming winter season. Cardiff will become a new destination within the company's UK network, strengthening the movement of Egyptian exports of vegetables, fruits, and other products to the British market and supporting access to European markets.

These results are part of EgyptAir Cargo's strategy to strengthen its position on the global air transport map, expand its destination network, develop international commercial partnerships, and support trade and Egyptian exports.
