EgyptAir and Boeing Collaborate on Fleet Modernization for Egyptian Airlines

Cairo: EgyptAir Holding Company Chairman Ahmed Adel met with Boeing Vice President of Commercial Sales and Marketing for Africa, Anbessie Yitbarek, to discuss cooperation on enhancing Egypt's airline fleet. This meeting is part of EgyptAir's strategic initiative to upgrade its fleet in partnership with leading global aircraft manufacturers, aiming to improve operational efficiency and competitiveness.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the longstanding partnership between EgyptAir and Boeing has significantly contributed to modernizing the airline's fleet over the years. Adel reaffirmed the airline's dedication to continuing its collaboration with Boeing to support expansion plans and enhance operational performance.

EgyptAir is working with Boeing to ensure the timely delivery of new B737-8 MAX aircraft. Adel highlighted their close coordination to monitor the manufacturing process and adhere to the delivery schedule, with Boeing confirming that deliveries will start in January 2026.

Boeing's commitment includes providing support for the new aircraft, offering spare parts and training programs in collaboration with EgyptAir's Training Academy. This comprehensive support will encompass technical, engineering, and pilot training on the B737-8 MAX's advanced systems.

The Boeing team extended an invitation to Adel to visit their manufacturing facility in Seattle to explore the latest technologies and innovations aimed at enhancing aircraft performance and passenger experience.
