Egypt Wins Silver at 25th CISM World Military Equestrian Championship

Cairo: Egypt secured the silver medal in the team competitions at the 25th CISM World Military Equestrian Championship. The event took place at the Kayan Equestrian Club in Cairo's New Administrative Capital from May 5 to 8, under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Italy clinched the first place in the team competitions, while Qatar finished in third place. In the individual competitions, the UAE achieved the gold medal, with Russia taking second, and Egypt securing third place.

The championship saw participation from military showjumping riders representing countries including Egypt, Bahrain, Brazil, Ecuador, Estonia, France, Hungary, Italy, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Portugal, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Tunisia, Turkey, and the UAE. This significant edition of the championship underscored the CISM motto, "Friendship through Sport", and highlighted Egypt's emerging role as a hub for international military sports.

During the closing ceremony, Qatar was honored with the CISM "Friendship through Sport" award, marking its contribution to the spirit of camaraderie and sportsmanship throughout the tournament.
