Egypt Urges Regional Collaboration to Prevent Crisis Escalation

Cairo:Egypt has called on regional countries to unite in finding peaceful solutions to the ongoing crisis to prevent it from escalating into a more dangerous phase.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held separate phone calls with his Emirati and Saudi counterparts on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, to discuss regional developments, growing risks of escalation, and efforts to resolve the ongoing crisis through peaceful means.

During his conversation with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abdelatty emphasized the necessity for regional countries to join forces to achieve peaceful resolutions and reintegrate all parties into the political process. This, he noted, is crucial to avert the crisis from advancing into a more perilous stage.

Simultaneously, Abdelatty and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan examined the latest regional developments and efforts to contain the crisis amid increasing risks of escalation. They highlighted the importance of promoting political and peaceful solutions through dialogue.

Furthermore, Abdelatty and Prince Faisal agreed to sustain close consultation and coordination both on a bilateral level and through the four-party ministerial mechanism that includes Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Pakistan.
