Cairo: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty discussed with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha, during a phone call, ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, as well as developments in regional and international issues of common interest.According to State Information Service Egypt, Abdelatty opened the call by congratulating Sybiha on his reappointment as foreign minister by the Ukrainian parliament. He expressed Egypt's keenness to continue expanding bilateral cooperation and further develop existing frameworks through continued rounds of political consultations and joint committees, as well as stronger economic and trade ties.The call also addressed developments in the Ukraine crisis. Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's support for reaching a political settlement to the crisis, stressing the importance of de-escalation and pursuing diplomatic solutions in a way that would help end the conflict and promote security and stability worldwide.
