Egypt-Turkish Military Drill “Golden Eagle” Commences with Joint Forces

Cairo: The joint Egyptian-Turkish military drill, known as "Golden Eagle," has officially commenced with the involvement of personnel from the Egyptian Airborne Forces, Egyptian Thunderbolt Forces, and the Turkish Special Forces. This significant military exercise is being conducted over several days at the combat training facilities of the Egyptian Airborne and Thunderbolt Commands.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the initial phase of the drill featured a series of theoretical lectures on a variety of subjects. These lectures are aimed at unifying operational concepts and enhancing integration and interoperability among the participating forces. An exhibition showcasing the weapons and equipment used during the exercise was also organized to provide further insights into the operational capabilities of both nations.

The "Golden Eagle" drill is set to include a comprehensive range of practical activities and field training events. These activities are designed to achieve the planned objectives, facilitate the exchange of tactical expertise between the Egyptian and Turkish forces, and maximize the operational benefits for all participants. The drill underscores the commitment of both nations to strengthen military cooperation and enhance the strategic partnership across various military domains.

The exercise is part of the Egyptian Armed Forces' joint training program with their counterparts from friendly countries.
