Egypt, Tunisia Prime Ministers Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Madrid: Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with Tunisian Prime Minister Sarra Zaafrani Zenzri on the sidelines of the 4th International Conference on Financing for Development in Spain on Monday, June 30, 2025. During the meeting, both leaders explored avenues to enhance cooperation between their nations, particularly focusing on the upcoming session of the Egyptian-Tunisian Joint Higher Committee, which is scheduled to take place in Cairo in September. Additionally, they agreed on organizing a joint business forum aimed at bolstering trade and investment relations.

According to State Information Service Egypt, Madbouly reiterated Egypt's support for Tunisia's reform initiatives under President Kais Saied, expressing confidence in the nation's capacity to attain stability and development. He also underscored the alignment between the two countries' leaderships concerning regional and international matters.

Zaafrani commended Egypt's recent development milestones and conveyed support for its significant role in the Palestinian cause. The meeting highlighted the shared commitment of both nations to strengthen their bilateral relationship and collaborate on various fronts.
