Egypt to Compete Against Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand in 2026 World Cup Group

Washington: Egypt's senior national team has been drawn into Group G for the 2026 World Cup finals, where they will face Belgium, Iran, and New Zealand. The group draw was held at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the Pharaohs secured their spot in next year's tournament, which will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Egypt's qualification came through an unbeaten run in the African qualifiers, where they topped Group A with 26 points.

This marks Egypt's fourth appearance at the World Cup finals. The team has previously participated in the tournaments held in 1934, 1990, and 2018.
