Egypt Sends 75th Humanitarian Convoy to Gaza Amid Harsh Conditions

Cairo: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) dispatched its 75th Zad El-Ezza: From Egypt to Gaza convoy on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, delivering nearly 9,900 tonnes of humanitarian aid to displaced Palestinians across the Gaza Strip.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the shipment included 54,000 blankets, 36,000 winter clothing items, over 190 mattresses, and approximately 7,230 tents. It also contained 6,100 tonnes of food parcels and flour, 2,600 tonnes of medical and relief supplies, and over 1,100 tonnes of fuel necessary to maintain hospital operations and essential services amid severe shortages.

Egypt continues to serve as Gaza's principal humanitarian lifeline. Over the past 760 days, more than 665,000 tonnes of food, medicine, fuel, and shelter materials have been transported through the Rafah and Karm Abu Salem crossings.

The ERC, bolstered by a nationwide logistics network and 35,000 volunteers, has coordinated 943 humanitarian flights and 617 maritime shipments from 59 countries, working in conjunction with UN agencies.
